Empower
We believe students are a crucial part of bringing the Kingdom of God here on earth. Through our biblical teaching and spiritual formation, we aim to empower students to live into who God has called them to be and to live out their faith boldly.
Equip
We believe it is essential to help students learn how to read and understand the Bible, as well as how to faithfully live as Christ - followers throughout their everyday lives within their communities. We choose curriculum based off this belief and equip our Student Ministry Adult Leaders to help students see how the Bible connects to their lives and contexts in hands-on, practical ways.
Encourage
We believe the body of Christ is supposed to feel like family. No family is perfect, but we strive to make students feel like they belong in our church and in the global Church. We seek to encourage students in their faith, include them in the life of our church, and give students a community of people who are on their side as they go through all the highs and lows of adolescence.
About Student Ministry Teachers, Volunteers, and Leaders
Your child's wellbeing is our highest priority.
- All of our teachers, volunteers and ministry leaders love the lord and love sharing their faith with children and youth.
- All UMCL teachers, volunteers, ministry leaders and church staff are required to take Safe Sanctuary Training and be re-certified every two years.
- All UMCL teachers, volunteers, ministry leaders and church staff must undergo a background check.
