Small Groups

We believe one of the marks of a disciple of Jesus is growth in knowledge of God and God’s Word through Bible Study.  While personal study of Scripture is encouraged, there is power in studying Scripture with other believers.

 Group study brings us to a deeper and richer understanding of God’s Word.
There are a number of adult study groups meeting weekly or semi-weekly that would fit the needs and interests of most. These small groups offer Bible study, fellowship, worship, service and outreach.

Serendipity  (Women)

1st & 3rd Monday, 10 AM
Location: Church Conference Room
Ministries: Support Red Cross blood drives, set tables for Rotary
Focus: Serendipity Bible - Bible Study

Women's Small Group

2nd & 4th Friday, 10 AM
Location: Church Conference Room
Ministries: Support Toys for Tots
Focus: Bible Study

Hymn Singers

Fridays, 1 PM
Location: UMCL
Focus: Love of singing, practice hymns, occasionally sing during church

Prayer Warriors

Open invitation to all who would like to actively pray for our church, community, country, and world.
All are welcome - men, women and youth.

Men's Small Group

1st & 3rd Tuesday, 8 AM
Location: Leisure's Restaurant, Lakeville
Ministries: transport goods to/from Thrift Shoppe, community service such as handicap accessibility, small home repair projects, working with Ravens to transport food, upkeep and care for UMCL properties.
Focus: Bible studies

Empty Nesters (Mixed)

2nd & 4th Tuesday, 6:00 PM
Location: Church or member's home on rotating basis
Ministries: Back-to-school backpacks, winter wear collection
Focus: Bible Studies,

Young Adult (Mixed)

Location: UMCL Classrooms
Focus: Bible Studies
