Why we give.

God is generous and so he calls us to be as well.  What we do with what God has given us shows the world where our hearts are and helps proclaim the gospel. We want to glorify God with every area of our lives, and that includes what we do with our finances.

Giving to UMCL

Test me in this and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be enough room to store it. Malachi 3:10

Giving financially as an act of worship and faith is powerful and allows us to invest in God's vision and purpose, providing opportunities to help others and express gratitude for His blessing.

There are ministries yet to be born.  There are lives still to be touched.  Our community still needs us.  The Kingdom of God has not yet fully come.  

Members and attenders are encouraged to complete the estimate of giving card below.  Pledge cards are collected during November for the purposes of budget and planning the next fiscal year.  At any time during the year, however, if you feel led to donate regularly, please return the estimate of giving card below.  One time donations of any size are always gratefully appreciated.

Ways To Give

Give Online

It is easy, convenient, and secure to give online, one time or to set up scheduled giving.  Please use the form at the right to give to the mission and ministry of UMCL online.

Give In Person

If you prefer to give in person, giving baskets are passed during the service.  Although not required, for your convenience offering envelopes are available by contacting the church office, 585-346-3511.

UMCL Pastor's Fund

The Pastor's Fund is money collected throughout the year to help those in need in our community.

Planned collections for the Pastor's Fund are received from:
  • the entire collection from the Christmas Eve Service and/or other designated collections.
  • loose money in the offering basket on the first Sunday of February, April, June, August, October, and December. 
  • designated donations received anytime during the year.  To donate to this fund, put your designated donation in the weekly offering or mail your check to:
