Who We Are

God cares about you and we care about you.

United Methodist Church of Livonia is a faith family, formed from diverse backgrounds, bound together with a common desire to follow Jesus Christ.   It is a place where people can meet Jesus,  engage in life-giving community, and everyone is welcome.

We believe in creating a space where people can have authentic encounters with Christ, discover their gifts and use them for God's glory.

What's It Like at UMCL?

You will find a casual atmosphere and should feel right at home on your first visit.
A typical service will last about 60 minutes. We sing a good mix of contemporary and traditional music that is led by our worship team.   Scripture, corporate readings, and a message from Pastor Sung Ho focuses our attention on worshiping the Lord and preparing us for the week ahead.  We gather to praise God.
Communion is served on the first Sunday of each month and all are welcome to the  (communion)Table.
Children are welcome in church with a table for pre-school through 8 years old with quiet activities.  September - May there is Sunday School and Youth Group.
All are welcome and invited to join with us in worshiping God.

Meet Pastor Sung Ho Lee

Pastor Sung Ho Lee has been in the ministry for over 20 years and came to UMCL July 2023 from a senior pastor position at Aldersgate United Methodist in Rochester when former Pastor Hoyt Brown retired from full time ministry.

Pastor Sun Ho loves church, loves preaching,  and he loves music.  He and his wife, Jung, have made "getting to know" (the people at UMCL) their top priority.  Pastor Sung Ho and Jung would love to meet you.
