UMCL is a faith family, formed from diverse backgrounds, bound together with a common desire to follow Jesus Christ. When you worship with us, you will experience lots of singing, unison prayers, reading the Word, and a message. We hope you come with your whole family and share in how God is moving in all of our lives.

In-person Worship Sunday at 9 AM
Worship at UMCL includes both traditional church music as well as contemporary worship music. Scripture, corporate readings, and a message from Pastor Sung Ho focus our attention on worshiping the Lord and preparing us for the week ahead. We are a singing congregation accompanied by the praise band and/or organ or piano. Most Sundays include special music from the choir, coral group, or soloist provide worship in song. We gather to praise God. All are welcome and invited to join with us in worshiping God.
Sunday School is available for children K - Grade 5 and a nursery is available for the younger children. Children are always welcome in church.

Music at UMCL
We enjoy a mix of both contemporary praise music and traditional church music.
Contemporary Music
Contemporary Music – is led by the praise team. The message is the same as the traditional music, but the “feel” is not. The praise team leads in a blend of contemporary, gospel and some traditional music with guitar, keyboard, drum and other instruments.
Traditional Music
Traditional Music – includes hymns and choruses accompanied by either piano or the century old pipe organ. Our pipe organ has been used continuously for over 100 years and was rebuilt by Parsons Pipe Organ Builders, Bristol, NY when it was moved to our new building in 2008.
Special Music
Each service includes some type of special music. The UMCL choir sings an anthem September - June. During the summer and services the choir isn't singing, we are blessed with special music from our talented musicians or guests.
Communion
Communion is usually offered on the first Sunday of each month.
UMCL practices an “open table,” meaning that all are welcome to come to Christ’s table and share in communion.

You do not need to be a member of our church, or any church to take communion. All that is required is that you wish to grow in your love and knowledge of Christ. It is the risen and present Christ that calls you to the table, not a church or a pastor.
Communion is served by intinction. You will come forward, receive the Bread and then dip it in the Cup. Gluten free option is available and we have sealed cups available for those who may feel more comfortable with that option.

Baptism at UMCL
The Bible says that all professing Christians should be baptized (Matthew 28:18-20).
In Baptism we are welcomed and incorporated into the community of faith , and receive the promise of the Spirit that re-creates and transforms us. Whether you've been following Jesus for a long time and never got baptized or are a new Christian, we would be honored to baptize you. Adults, youth, children and babies can be baptized.
